About The Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards

The Annual Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards are presented by Morris Visitor Publications in Europe (MVP) in association with The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain & the Commonwealth at a prestigious landmark London venue in mid-October.

The awards ceremony recognises the outstanding contribution and service delivered by the UK's Golden Keys' hotel concierge and are attended by key partners of London’s hospitality and tourism industries, comprising of guests from the Hotel Concierge community, hotel General Managers, the tourism industry and key notables from both the Visit London and Visit Britain organisations.

The Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards where inaugurated in 2006 and are presented with the support of Morris Visitor Publications in Europe (MVP), the leading publisher for the domestic and international leisure and corporate traveller markets.


Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards 2009

Morris Visitor Publications in Europe (MVP), the leading publisher of visitor magazines for the international and domestic tourist and corporate traveller markets and The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain & the Commonwealth, announce the winners of The Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards 2009. The Awards evening, held in the magnificent Art Deco Ballroom at London's The Park Lane Hotel on Monday 12 October, recognised the outstanding contribution and service delivered by the Society of the Golden Key's hotel concierge community.

Following speeches and presentations from: William S. Morris III, CEO and President of Morris Communications: Chris Manning, Managing Director Europe, Morris Visitor Publications; Andrew Turner, Group Sales Director, Morris Visitor Publications; Paul Still, President of The Society of the Golden Keys; Igor Buercher, Assistant Executive Manager, The Park Lane Hotel; Martine Ainsworth-Wells, Marketing Director, Visit London; Richard Brown, Sales Manager, Global Refund UK; Nick Chritchley, Manager Director, Albemarle of London and Steven Cooper, Marketing & Events Manager, John Lewis Oxford Street – the following winners were presented with a spectacular glass trophy, exclusively created by Peter Layton at London Glassblowing (the fine creators of contemporary glass art). Dot2Dot were the Platinum sponsors of the night.

The event brought together over 350 key partners from London's hospitality and tourism industries with a guest list comprising of members from the Hotel Concierge community, Hotel General Managers, the tourism and retail industries and key notables from the Visit London and VisitBritain organisations.

Chefs from across Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ four London hotels showcased their culinary skills with a menu featuring highlights of seafood from One-O-One at The Sheraton Park Tower, a Luxury Collection Hotel (Head Chef – Pascal Proyart); Italian from Citrus at The Park Lane Hotel (Head Chef – Andrew Bennett); British from the Sheraton Belgravia (Head Chef – Daniel Berhanu) and Continental from Terrace at Le Meridien Piccadilly (Head Chef – Allister Bishop).

The ambient, creative lighting and sound was devised by the talented team at Premier Audio Visual – London’s leading in-house AV specialists who partner with hotels and venues across London, offering the very latest in sound, vision, lighting and staging. The floral arrangements were created by Dora Kovacs Flowers and the evening also featured a sparkling musical showcase from the highly celebrated band SWAY, courtesy of JSO Productions Ltd, the organisers of private and corporate events and suppliers of some of London's most talked about entertainment.

The 3rd annual Morris Golden Keys Concierge Awards where presented on Monday 13 October 2009 at the elegantly styled Grosvenor House Ballroom on Park lane, London, which has recently undergone redecoration and restoration. The winners were presented with a spectacular glass trophy, exclusively created by London Glassblowing, the fine creators of contemporary glass art.

At the Awards Ceremony guests where able to enjoy the stunning surroundings of Grosvenor House, currently undergoing a fouryear, multimillion pound restoration and now in its final phase with the recent completion of its newly renovated luxury suites. Currently some 220 rooms of the 494 new bedrooms and suites are available with the remainder anticipated to be finished in the latter half of 2008. The glittering evening also featured a spectacular musical showcase from the hit West End musical The Sound of Music with stars Aoife Mulholland and Jane Webster while Royal Academy musicians, featuring top jazz saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev (Baltic, Charlie Wrights, Ronnie Scotts), delighted guests with their wide repertoire of music.
